N.B.

In the West Indies, the decayed leaves and stems of canes are called field trash; the bruised or macerated rind of canes is called cane trash; and both are called trash. --B. Edwards

It is becoming increasingly obvious that they need a word for "trash." Perhaps a synonym, which would be: "trash."

People who say "rubbish" don't really know what they are talking about.
