Whoever said, “He who loses his conscience has nothing left that is worth keeping” probably never had one of those indestructible silicon oven mitts. In my assessment, those are worth keeping, if only because they cost a great deal more than regular oven mitts.

But even those silicon oven mitts do not cost as much as the special Radioactive Resistant "Geiger Finger" Oven Mitt With Optional Elbow and Shoulder Extensions that I use for making my dinner. If I lost those mitts, well I would be a very sorry kitten indeed, and probably reduced to nuclear glowing ash into the bargain!
